ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 3, 2019-- Cardlytics co-founders, Scott Grimes and Lynne Laube, have been selected as recipients of the 2019 E. Milton Bevington Distinguished Entrepreneur Award, marking the first year that two individuals will share the recognition.

Every other year, MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta presents the award to an individual who has made an extraordinary contribution to the city’s technology community. Both Grimes (CEO) and Laube (COO) have bolstered Atlanta’s economy by creating hundreds more jobs, celebrating cultural diversity through programs like Women of Cardlytics and a partnership with Year Up Atlanta, and devoting their time to organizations like FinTech Atlanta, which aims to cement the city as the recognized global capital of financial technology.

“We felt the incredible journey that Scott and Lynne have been on since founding the company in 2008 made them the perfect duo to honor this year,” said Chris Stanley, chair of the MIT Enterprise Forum selection committee. “In 11 short years, they have grown the business to more than 400 employees globally, completed a public stock offering, and continue to shine as one of Atlanta’s most innovative technology companies.”

To celebrate and honor Grimes and Laube, the MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta will host the 2019 Distinguished EntrepreneurGala on Thursday, October 3, at 6 p.m. at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. The Gala will include a cocktail reception, dinner, and keynote speech presented by both 2019 Distinguished Entrepreneurs.

“Lynne and I are honored to receive this recognition from the MIT Enterprise Forum of Atlanta,” said Grimes. “Atlanta continues to establish itself as a major FinTech player, and I like to think that we are doing our part in helping facilitate this growth by attracting strong talent to work with some of the biggest banks and brands in the world.”

Grimes and Laube will be introduced by United States Senator, David Perdue, a former Cardlytics Board Member.CarterBaldwin Executive Search is the presenting sponsor of the event.
